Voyages is Destiny is back with its second album in just under two years! The 46-minute sophomore album has a focused hard rock vibe with more honest, closer-to-home lyrics than its predecessor. In addition to the usual extended bridges with layering of instruments, this go round sees a bunch of odd meter times including 5/4, and 7/4 (or is it 7/8, I really can't tell!).Â

"I know I criticized the vocal performances on the last album but I'm getting used to the often chorus-drenched nasally vocals with screaming harmonies that are Voyages in Destiny's trademark. The mixing is definitely stronger this go round, and the album overall is a tighter outing for the burgeoning artist."
"If you were missing the great alt-rock that was the grunge revolution of the 90s, it's all here folks. You've got a bunch of odd meter timings, drop tunings that go lower than the basement floor, and classic RATM fun with a kill switch (thankfully with less whammy this time). Seriously, it takes me back to high school!"
"While I appreciate the more serious tone of this album with reflections on the artist's spirituality, you've got to love the fun interlude that is a song like When You are Gone featuring some special guest singers. And the last track, a piano version of the hard rocking In the Darkness, can only be described with one word, 'haunting'."
